Ork Nob in Mega Armor. Miniature from the 2004-05 Games Workshop catalogue for the wargame Warhammer40K. Painted in 2014.
Ork Nob en Mega Armadura. Miniatura del catálogo del 2004-05 de Games Workshop, para el wargame Warhammer40K. Pintada en 2014.
After a black primer I painted all the miniature in silver with Ironbreaker from Citadel with the drybrush technique. I painted with Snot Green from Citadel the skin.
Después de darle una imprimación en negro la pinté completamente con la técnica de pincel seco con el color metálico plateado Ironbreaker, y pinté de verde Snot Green la parte de piel, ambas de la casa Citadel.
The next step was to paint the yellow parts of the armor with Sunset Averland from Citadel, taking advantage of the work done previously with the silver drybrush. I left unpainted parts such as weapons, blades or breathing tubes and hydraulic systems. Then I painted the red and blue wires with Evil Sunz and Calgar Escarlet Citadel Blue respectively.
Then I applied a wash Sepia Shade from Vallejo Game Color range, and colored lights of skin with various gradients between Snot Green to Skarsnik Green from Citadel, and I painted teeth and eye.
El siguiente paso fué pintar las partes amarillas de la armadura con color Averland Sunset de Citadel aprovechando el trabajo hecho anteriormente con el plateado. Dejé sin pintar algunas partes como el arma, las cuchillas o los tubos de respiración y los sistemas hidráulicos. Después pinté los cables en rojo y azul con Evil Sunz Escarlet y Calgar Blue de Citadel respectivamente.
Posteriormente apliqué un lavado sepia de la serie Game Color de Vallejo, y pinté las luces de la piel verde con varios degradados entre Snot Green hasta Skarsnik Green de Citadel, así como dientes y ojo.
The next thing was give the lights to the armor using the colors Averland Sunset to Flash Gitz Yellow, and Ironbreaker to Runefang Steel for silver parts. I also light red and blue wires adding a bit of yellow to red and white to blue.
Lo siguiente fué dar las luces a la armadura empleando los colores Averland Sunset hasta Flash Gitz Yellow, Ironbreaker y Runefang Steel para las partes plateadas. Iluminé también cables rojos y azules añadiendo un poco de amarillo al rojo y blanco al azul.
After apply the last light and details came time to "dirty" the miniature to simulate the wear of battle and the weather ... With a cutter I made several scrapes and marks and painted some details in the mini with Ironbreaker to look like hits received. Later, with the new paint line Vallejo Game Effects, exactly Dry Rust, I applied it on some parts of the figure simulating mud dirt and rust.
Después de dar las últimas luces y detalles llegaba el momento de "ensuciar" la miniatura para simular los desgastes de la batalla y la intemperie... Con ayuda de un cutter realicé varios raspados y marcas dejando el metal de la mini al aire y pinté con Ironbreaker algunos detalles para que parecieran impactos recibidos. Posteriormente con la nueva línea de pintura Game Effects de Vallejo, exactamente con Óxido Seco apliqué sobre algunas partes de la figura simulando la suciedad del barro y el óxido.
Finally, to enhance the miniature, I made the base. I used cork sheets, chicken wire, wires, plastic pieces and modeling sand. I put together all simulating an asphalt pavement whipped by the battle, with wires sticking out and such ... I painted everything black and applied several light of grays and metallic colors. Finally I also placed a small emblem of the Imperial Guard Cadian unit to emphasize the effect of battle .
Finalmente, para realzar la miniatura, realicé la peana. Utilicé laminas de corcho, malla de gallinero, alambre, piezas de plástico y arena de modelismo. Lo monté todo simulando un pavimento de asfalto azotado por la batalla, con cables asomando y tal... Lo pinté todo de negro y apliqué varias luces de gris y colores metálicos. Finalmente coloqué también un pequeño emblema roto de la unidad de la guardia imperial de Cadia para enfatizar el efecto de combate.
