Mi primer ejército de Warhammer 40K fueron los Eldar. Los coleccioné y pinté a mediados de los años 90, hace unos 20 años.

Estas miniaturas están pintadas al estilo de aquella época, cuando no era fácil (al menos aquí en Valencia) conseguir ni miniaturas ni material. No sabíamos entonces qué era una tinta, una veladura... La técnica más novedosa era el pincel seco!

Alguna vez he pensado en quitarles la pintura y volver a pintarlas... pero creo que eso sería como traicionarme a mí mismo. Esas minis son el recuerdo viviente de una época, de unas circunstancias, donde se puede ver cómo eran las cosas antes y cómo han evolucionado, a nivel personal y a nivel global... Todavía recuerdo cómo, cuándo y dónde las pinté. Y creo de verdad que están muy bien pintadas para su época.

My first Warhammer 40K army was Eldar. I collected and painted them in the mid-90s, about 20 years ago.

These miniatures are painted in the style of that era, when it was not easy (at least here in Valencia) get no minis or material. We did not know then what was an ink, a glaze ... The newest technique was dry brush!

Have I ever thought of taking away the paint and re-paint ... but I think that would be like betraying myself. These minis are the living memory of a time, a few circumstances where you can see how things were before and how they have evolved, personally and globally ... I still remember how, when and where painted them. And I really believe that they are very well painted for its time.
